In additional to academic members such as Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV), the University of Lausanne (UNIL), Unisanté and Ludwig Cancer Research, several organisations and companies offer R&D services on site, including the Swiss Nutrition and Health Foundation, New Biologix, Adipogen and many more.

Biopôle is equipped with four conference centres, a four-star hotel and six restaurants as well as weekly food trucks. And, with on-site access to two metro stops and a bus stop, plus electric bicycles and shared mobility options, it’s easy to minimise your carbon footprint.

A range of well-being and healthcare facilities are available on site, including a medical centre with an accident and emergency department, dental surgery, physiotherapy, radiology service and blood donation centre.

CORE RESEARCH FACILITIES AT FBM, UNIL-CHUV

The Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) at UNIL operates 13 state-of-the-art facilities on the Biopôle campus. These facilities provide cross-disciplinary support to researchers at UNIL, the CHUV and beyond, in fields including structural biology, imaging, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, cytofluorometry, histology, bioinformatics and biostatistics. Harnessing the latest data analysis tools, these facilities are designed to push the boundaries of knowledge in biomedical science by facilitating fundamental, translational and clinical research, from the nano to the macro scale. The facilities are also run by highly skilled support staff, who train users on the different kinds of technology available, through both theoretical instructions and hands-on practice.
