PostDoc in Cancer Immunology
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to join our cancer- immunology group. The Rufer lab focuses on investigating human CD8 T-cell responses to self-(tumor) and foreign (viral) antigens, aiming to advance our knowledge of T cell-mediated protection from human disease and to develop strategies for adoptive cell therapies using engineered or natural anti-cancer T cells. We showed that the T cell receptor (TCR)-binding avidity is a valuable indicator for evaluating antigen-specific T cell responses, serving as a potential biomarker of T cell therapeutic effectiveness (1, 2) and a key parameter in regulating T-cell clonal repertoires during latent herpes virus infection (3).
Presentation
A postdoctoral position is now available to study the key biophysical and functional determinants of anti-tumor TCRs related to clinical efficacy using high-throughput screening technologies. The objectives are to determine the characteristics that define the most suitable and safe TCR candidates for adoptive T cell therapy.
