Summary
Novigenix is a Swiss precision oncology company that specializes in early cancer detection and treatment optimization using advanced machine learning tools to analyze patients' longitudinal Immune profiling data. We are currently seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our Data Science & Analytics team and improve our company's competitiveness.
As a Data Scientist at Novigenix, you will be responsible for developing analysis methodologies and machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems and find patterns in large amounts of data. You will work closely with our team of data scientists, biologist, and clinical collaborators, applying data analysis methods on extracted data from multiple sources to answer specific biological questions in the context of immunooncology.
Responsibilities
- Develop analysis methodologies and machine learning algorithms
- Utilize a diverse skill set encompassing computer science, statistical modeling, mathematics, and data analysis to tackle complex problems, identify patterns, and devise effective solutions by analyzing large volumes of information
- Employ data analysis techniques to analyze extracted data from multiple sources, identifying and characterizing relevant signals in longitudinal data, and leveraging this information to address specific biological questions in the field of immuno-oncology
- Use Python and R to develop pipelines for the analysis and interpretation of data
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment by actively engaging in brainstorming sessions and contributing to the generation of novel ideas, while also cultivating an energizing and motivating workplace culture
- Develop reproducible analyses and reports to support R&D initiatives and the QA/IP team by producing thorough written documentation and detailed specificationsSkills & Requirements
- PhD in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences or Data Sciences
- Hands on experience with Python and R, and database query languages like SQL. Familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++ is a plus.
- Proficient in machine learning algorithms with a proven track record of optimizing their performance.
- Strong mathematical skills, good applied statistical skills, Bayesian statistics, machine learning and data visualization tools. Familiar with Digital Twins technology is a plus.
- Knowledge of transcriptomics, oncology, immunology or related fields is a plus.
- The ability to work in a collaborative environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
