Three Biopôle-based companies — Dexterous Endoscopes, Bewe and Calico Biosystems — have been selected as the official finalists of the Top100 Newcomer of the Year 2026 public vote. Chosen by thousands of online voters after an initial selection by a jury of 100 leading investors and startup experts, the three startups will now pitch live at the Top100 Swiss Startup Award Night, where the audience will crown the Top100 of the Year 2026.

Dexterous Endoscopes is developing variable-stiffness endoscopes that combine the precision of rigid instruments with the flexibility of soft devices, enabling less invasive surgical procedures.
Bewe is tackling metabolic diseases through a neuroscience-based digital therapeutic that retrains the brain’s reward system to reduce unhealthy cravings.
Calico Biosystems is advancing oncology drug development with a platform that combines patient-derived tumour models and digital modelling to better predict clinical responses and accelerate the discovery of effective cancer therapies.
Having all three finalists based at Biopôle highlights the campus’ role as a leading hub for life sciences innovation, where breakthrough technologies are translated into solutions with the potential to impact healthcare.
