Biopôle SA is pleased to announce that Raphaël Conz, recently appointed as Managing Director of the Office for Economic Affairs and Innovation (SPEI) by the State Council of the canton of Vaud, is joining the Biopôle SA Board of Directors.
Biopôle SA is a private, not-for-profit company, founded by the public authorities of the canton of Vaud in 2004. On its Board of Directors, Raphaël Conz will notably represent the SPEI of the State of Vaud – the main shareholder of Biopôle. His appointment expands the board to seven members.
Raphaël Conz began his work for the economic promotion of the canton of Vaud in 2002. Starting as a Project Manager, he was promoted to head a business unit with the mission of supporting innovation, entrepreneurship and industry. Between 2006 and 2008, he was also Deputy Director of an organisation commissioned by the four cantons of French-speaking Switzerland to attract foreign companies. For more than 20 years, he has represented the State of Vaud on the boards of various entities in the economic promotion network, including Innovaud, FIT (Foundation for Technological Innovation) and the EPFL Innovation Park Foundation.
