Prof. Rana Sanyal named Cartier Women’s Initiative 2021 Science & Technology Fellow

Developing targeted polymer drug conjugates in the field of oncology, PDC Therapeutics Co-Founder Prof. Rana Sanyal named 2021 Science & Technology Fellow by Cartier Women’s Initiative program.

Founded in 2006, the Cartier Women’s Initiative has helped women by shining a light on their achievements and providing them with the necessary financial, social and human capital support to grow their businesses and build their leadership skills. In 2021, 24 fellows are selected to the program amongst 876 applicants hailing from 142 countries. This year, to further increase its impact and relevance, the program has launched the Science & Technology Pioneer Award in addition to the 7 existing Regional Awards. Naming Rana Sanyal as a fellow in this category, this award highlights disruptive solutions built around unique, protected or hard-to-reproduce technological or scientific advances. Aiming to develop more effective treatments with chemotherapy drugs with reduced side effects, PDC Therapeutics continues to work on its pipeline consisting of 5 drug candidates targeting different types of cancer, developed based on its proprietary innovative drug carrier platform technology that "packages" the chemotherapy agent until it reaches the tumor and releases the toxic load only in the cancer cell.
