About Test Equipment Engineer : 

Responsible for developing, validating design verification and manufacturing of high-end test equipment used during R&D design verification activities or manufacturing for our single use and reusable robotic surgical instruments and for mechatronic subsystem integrated in our surgical robot.

Tasks:

  • Lead small to medium-complexity test equipment development (end-to-end) for manufacturing and/or R&D: Define specification (mechanical, electronics and software) and the risk management/Manage the design and the assembly (internally or externally), included the duplication/Perform validation and qualification (IQ, DQ, OQ,PQ) of manufacturing test equipment from a testbench FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) perspective/ Insure that all equipment should be designed with the precepts of DFQ(quality), DFMft (manufacturability), DFC(cost per tester), DFMt (maintainability).

  • Participate in the specification, implementation and verification of life cycle manufacturing test requirements incl. definition of test methods and / or acceptance criteria for Dexter, its accessories and instruments.

  • Participate in risk management activities (including pFMEA) in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Participate in complex maintenance activities of the R&D and manufacturing test .

  • Participate in feasibility and new product development phases to anticipate test equipment engineering needs and activities.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, both internal and external to the company, to identify best concepts and methodologies, and delegate appropriate tasks.


Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Microtechnology or similar.

  • At ease with programming skills, preferably in Labview/TestStand or other test software environment.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with real time test systems (Labview RT, Beckhoff or similar).

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with medical device quality system (regulated industry).

  • Able to understand mechanical drawings (3D and 2D).

  • Able to read electrical schematics and data flow diagrams.

  • Able to document his work in concise and consistent manner.

  • Able to assembling electromechanical sub-parts, as well as wiring test and measurement equipment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, creativity, solution oriented and communication skills.
    Open to travel (up to 20%).
