Sr Investigator In Vivo

Independently lead, design, execute and/or coordinate In Vivo pharmacology studies to support the portfolio and program milestones decisions. Collaborate with Project lead and team to define and test key program scientific hypotheses in vivo and ex-vivo, while ensuring good communication across teams.

  • Perform and/or provide technical and scientific support for pre in vivo, in life and ex vivo studies. including but not limited to cell culture, human peripheral- blood mononuclear cells testing, xenograft, injections by different routes, blood sampling and tumor measurements, necropsy/ cytokine analysis, flow cytometry and other downstream ex vivo functional assays.

  • Coordinate internal experimental plans with UNIL collaborators, preparation of protocols and planification of duties for animal caretakers.

  • Establish and lead external collaborations with CRO partners, managing study design /shipment/report/analysis ln a timely manner.

  • Support the development / implementation of new biology tools and innovative in vivo endpoints.

  • Perform data analysis on a regular basis and report data in laboratory notebooks, as well as in scientific reports and presentations.

  • Timely delivery of data packages / progress updates to Sr. Management and project Leads, contributing to reporting for key milestones including IP, M2 and IND reports.

  • Keep up to date with in vivo continuous education and relevant literature by participating in / preparing Journal- Club presentations.

  • Support the in vivo group activities by contributing to the maintenance of laboratory equipment/instruments, upkeep and routine activity.

  • Help to train and coach new colleagues as needed, by managing technical training and/or update on ongoing projects, facilitating a quick adaptation.

  • Comply with al-1 HSE regulations and safety guidelines.


REQUIREMENTS:

PhD or Master’s degree in immunology, oncology, cellular biology or related life sciences with at least 3 years of experience in in Vivo Pharmacology studies. Experience in cell culture, human peripheral- blood mononuclear cells testing, xenograft, injections by different routes, blood sampling and tumor measurements

  • Hands-on expertise in methodologies, reagents and instruments used for primary cell cultures, flow cytometry (mandatory), ELISA and cytokine analyses.

  • Experience with handling primary cells in BSL-2 level facilities, isolation of immune cells from human biological samples (PBMC) is mandatory.

  • Practical knowledge in data analysis using standard software (e.g. Excel, GraphPad, JMP, Flow cytometry dedicated software).

  • Experience in oncology, antibody discovery and pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required.

  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Team player who collaborates and communicates effectively in a team environment.

  • Excellent lab management skills and mentoring skills.

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to participate in a fast-paced work environment.
