MoleSense is developing Wear & Forget®, wearable technologies for continuous sweat biochemistry monitoring that combine on-demand sweat extraction with aptamer-based biosensing. Based at Lausanne Biopôle, the company is a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment driven by scientific excellence and rapid iteration.

About the role

MoleSense is looking for an early-career scientist to lead the physics, simulation, and microfabrication of its wearable microsystems. The role includes designing and simulating MEMS-based microfluidic structures, developing fabrication processes, validating prototypes, and collaborating with electronics, biochemistry, and software teams to transform physical principles into manufacturable medical devices.

Key requirements

  • PhD (or equivalent research experience) in Applied Physics, MEMS, Mechanical Engineering, Microengineering, or a related field

  • Hands-on experience with COMSOL Multiphysics, microfabrication, FEM simulation, and experimental validation

  • Strong foundation in fluid dynamics, liquid/solid interfaces, and MEMS device design

  • Experience with prototyping, simulation-driven design, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration
