Field Application Scientist (F/M,100%)

LOCATION: BIOPÔLE, EPALINGES, SWITZERLAND - START DATE: 1 SEPTEMBER 2024 OR LATER

Position Summary

To provide process support to partners and customers in their use of our automated cell therapy manufacturing platform, we are currently looking for a Field Application Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will bring her/his passion for cell therapy, becoming a power user of the Limula platform while supporting others in their adoption. You will work at the interface between the Limula team and our end-users, leveraging your ability to adapt to any situation. Your main responsibility will be to know our technology in every detail and deliver on-field process support for both pre- and post-sales activities. You will report to the Head of Applications and work in close collaboration with the Product and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all technical aspects of the product, from the device and application perspectives.

  • Master all protocols and applications of the platform, in order to train other users.

  • Manage protocol design, optimisation, testing and troubleshooting.

  • Perform experiments on various use cases, analyse, interpret and communicate results.

  • Support other members of the Applications Team.

  • Support the Product Team in demonstrations during customer evaluation and adoption phases.

  • Provide end-users with training and support towards adoption.

  • Manage stakeholders’ expectations and maximise satisfaction.

  • Collaborate closely with the Product and Marketing teams to identify customer requirements and new product features. Make recommendations for product improvements based on user feedback, identifies opportunities to expand into new applications.

  • Actively participate in other company activities, including R&D projects and product reviews,

  • Regularly present own results and contribute to internal meetings.

  • Provide scientific support and documentation for sales activities.



Requirements


  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering, Cell and Gene Therapy.

  • At least two years of experience with a customer facing role in a laboratory tool company.

  • Previous R&D and/or process development experience in the field of cell and gene therapy.

  • Recent hands-on experience in experimental laboratory work and cell culture using state-of-the-art equipment is a distinct advantage.

  • Able, available and keen to travel regularly, up to 50%.

  • Resilient, problem-solving personality, with a strong sense of service.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Able to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Working proficiency in written and spoken English, other languages a plus.
