We are delighted to share that the Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2026, compiled by Startup Genome, has ranked the “Greater Lausanne Region” (which includes Biopôle, Innovaud and Unlimitrust campus) No. 10 in the Top 100 Emerging Ecosystems 2026. The report highlights ecosystems with strong potential to become major global startup hubs.
Celebrating its 14th year, the Global Startup Ecosystem Report provides a global perspective on the startup landscape, highlighting leading ecosystems, emerging trends, and the factors influencing entrepreneurial growth. Its findings are based on the analysis of over 5.5 million startups across 350+ ecosystems worldwide, supported by more than a decade of research and collaboration with innovation and economic development organizations across 80+ countries.
The report further underscores the strong funding momentum driving innovation across the “Greater Lausanne Region”. Among the notable funding rounds featured are those of Distalmotion, Neo Medical, and Haya Therapeutics, all of which are based at the Biopôle campus. This reflects the strength and dynamism of our community and our commitment to supporting members at every stage of their growth.
Lastly, we were delighted to see that the “Greater Lausanne Region” was ranked among the Top 20 in Europe for Talent Strength. This metric assesses both performance factors and the ecosystem’s ability to generate and retain talent.
