The Workshop will be led by Thomas Meyers and Mark Dorff, from international law firm Brown Rudnick, and will focus on the topic of “International Growth for Swiss Life Sciences Businesses – A Cross Border Perspective”. Tom and Mark will provide an overview of and lead an interactive discussion on key issues and strategies for Swiss life sciences businesses exploring international growth. Areas of focus will include: deal preparation and internal due diligence; cross border equity investments and M&A deals; cross border collaboration and licensing deals; understanding IP as a business asset; patent basics; and dealing with universities as strategic partners.
Tom Meyers is based in Brown Rudnick’s Boston Office and is the head of Brown Rudnick’s Global IP Team. Mark Dorff is based in Brown Rudnick’s London Office and is the head of Brown Rudnick’s International Corporate Team. Tom and Mark are also co-heads of Brown Rudnick’s Global Life Sciences Team. Tom, Mark and the Brown Rudnick Life Sciences Team have extensive experience working with international life sciences companies and investors who invest in those companies as they build, grow and exit successful businesses around the world.
