Reaching the core of nurse-patient journey to optimize adoption of innovation in healthcare

Biopôle is delighted to partner with H4, the Hands-on Human Health Hub, on the following workshop: "Reaching the core of nurse-patient journey to optimize adoption of innovation in healthcare"

This interactive workshop will focus on designing and executing the right field experiments to validate your assumptions regarding impacts on the nurse-patient journey; we will illustrate how H4 may support you in doing so.

On the 3rd of June, Dominique Truchot-Cardot and Thierry Dagaeff will focus on the following topics:

H4: how you can benefit from H4
The importance of addressing the patient-nurse journey in Medtech, Biotech as well as in specifically care-oriented innovations.
The use of Design Thinking and Lean methodologies to design and execute field-anchored experimentations dedicated to (in)validate critical hypothesis of your innovative projects.

Format :

After a brief intro to H4, we will examine the importance of patient-nurse journey design and the available methodologies through cases that were handled by H4. We’ll present an illustrative project case: starting with the project definition as it was entering H4 process, we’ll derive interactively with the audience what were the critical hypothesis to validate, and how it could have been done. We will illustrate this approach briefly with a few more actual cases.

Target audience :

The approach can be used to explore problematics from desirability to viability: BM have to be validated that way as well as feasibility, adoption factors, and especially the management of the impact on practices. Thus, projects owners, CEO, CTO, CFO can be concerned depending on the project phase.

Agenda :

  • 12h15: Presentation of H4

  • 12h20: The importance of field expertise in Medtech, Biotech, and Healthcare innovation.

  • 12h30: Interactive: designing together an experimentation for a H4-supported project.

  • 12h55: Other illustrative cases

  • 13h10: Networking

Speakers :

Dominique Truchot-Cardot: MD, Full Professor HES - A physician by training and a political science graduate, Dominique has deep expertise in healthcare systems and policies. Known for her ability to build interprofessional connections, she adds a touch of brilliance to the digital and technological healthcare journey at H4.

Thierry Dagaeff: Ph.D. and an EPFL engineer. His career has taken him from physics to healthcare innovation, through artificial intelligence research and technological innovation. He has worked with large companies, startups, and SMEs. This background allows him to build bridges between these worlds and propose successful innovation strategies. He brings a systemic approach to H4 in the organization and monitoring of innovative healthcare projects.

About H4

The Hands-on Human health Hub, H4, is a joint initiative of the La Source School of Nursing and the Canton de Vaud. It is aimed at supporting entrepreneurial innovation in the domain of healthcare, with a collaborative approach, facilitating access to the field. H4 acts by helping companies to identify then validate their most critical assumptions in the current state of their project, in a Lean way. As a complementary approach to accelerators, incubators and other support from the State of Vaud innovation ecosystem, H4 works hand-in-hand with the various actors in healthcare and innovation.
