Anthony Hörning is the Founder of Strategic Transactions Advisory AG, in Basel, Switzerland, and a Senior Advisor to Vantage Partners, Boston, USA. He is a pharmaceutical industry coach and collaborations bridge-builder with cultural and language versatility. His work with clients encompasses advising both licensors and licensees on all aspects of strategy, negotiation and alliance management.

As a leading member of Novartis Business Development & Licensing function, he was in charge of the preparation, launch and ongoing implementation, as well as of all renegotiations, of the company’s global alliances and created a widely recognized alliance skills training program. He is a trainer and speaker at international Licensing and Alliance Management conferences, and served for many years as a member of the board of the “Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals”.

Biological science is moving at an incredible pace. Only 100 years ago, Eli Metchnikoff set the direction of modern medicine by taking a simple tree thorn and applying it to a starfish.  From this, he discovered phagocytosis, a central process in all diseases.  Metchnikoff was ‘disruptive’ in his technology and thinking. Tony Sedgwick is a fifth-generation student of Metchnikoff and will discuss our recent advancement in disruption, looking at the evolution of Biotech and global ecosystems and how it translates into people.  The aim of the workshop is to describe how disruptive talent is at the heart of biotech.

The Prevention in Health (PiH) Roundtable is an invitation-only meeting taking place on Monday 24 June in Lausanne, Switzerland, before the Tech Tour Healthtech Summit (HTS) taking place in Lausanne, 25-26 June 2019.

The Roundtable will raise awareness and showcase current opportunities for investment and development strategies focusing on how the people’s lifestyle is impacting health. It will bring together leading specialized investors, public institution representatives, selected corporate leaders and entrepreneurs on an invitation-only basis around a content-rich, interactive and memorable programme.

The First Annual European Roundtable for Prevention in Health is being organized in collaboration with the Tech Tour Healthtech Summit and the International Venture Club.
