CancerPrev is a Swiss foundation dedicated to personalized cancer prevention, built around three core pillars: Education, Research, and Outreach. The foundation seeks to bridge the gap between science and society, empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools to reduce cancer risk and promote long-term health.
As an innovative teaching and research institute, CancerPrev operates as a virtual organization without physical boundaries. It brings together members and junior members from institutions around the world. The foundation pioneers novel approaches to address the challenges of cancer prevention at both individual and societal levels, in collaboration with members from world-leading academic and clinical institutions.
CancerPrev engages in interdisciplinary research and public engagement focused on primary, secondary and tertiary cancer prevention. Current research projects explore how sex hormones, chromosomes, (epi)genetics, cell biology, metabolism, and the immune system influence cancer susceptibility, with a focus on skin-, breast- and head/neck-cancer.
