Bewe Secures Support from the Lichtsteiner Foundation

The Lichtsteiner Foundation has announced its support for Bewe, a digital health company based at Biopôle developing innovative solutions to address unhealthy cravings and overeating behaviours. With this new investment, Bewe joins a growing number of Biopôle-based companies backed by the foundation, including Testmate Health, Impli, SwitchKine, DigeHealth and Limula.

Bewe is developing a clinically validated digital therapeutic that combines neuroscience, artificial intelligence and gamification to help individuals reduce unhealthy food cravings. Delivered through a mobile application, the technology uses cognitive training to influence the brain’s reward system, offering a non-pharmacological approach to supporting behavioural change and managing obesity-related conditions. The company was also recognised earlier this year with the Pfizer Research Prize 2026 in the Digital Health category.

The Lichtsteiner Foundation supports early-stage Swiss healthcare companies through impact investing, focusing on innovations with the potential to improve people’s health. Rather than operating as a traditional venture capital fund, the foundation prioritises mission-driven companies with strong scientific foundations, credible commercial potential and committed teams.

Bewe’s addition to its portfolio further illustrates the foundation’s contribution to the Biopôle ecosystem, helping promising healthcare innovations progress towards commercialisation and reach the patients who could benefit from them.
