Biopôle-based MoleSense has won the Startup category of the Swiss Excellence Product Award 2026, presented by the Swiss Excellence Foundation at Technopark Winterthur. The award recognises outstanding market-ready products from Swiss companies, with finalists assessed on criteria including their level of innovation, value-creation potential, business model and go-to-market approach.
MoleSense was recognised for its non-invasive wearable platform for continuous molecular monitoring. Combining biosensing, microfluidics and digital data analysis, the technology is designed to continuously measure clinically relevant biomarkers through the skin. Its first application focuses on hormone monitoring for reproductive health, with the ambition of providing continuous insights that can complement intermittent blood tests and support more personalised healthcare.
The recognition adds to a series of milestones for MoleSense as it advances its molecular wearable technology. Earlier this year, the company was selected for the SPRIND Continuous Hormone Monitoring Challenge, receiving a €1.5 million R&D contract to further develop continuous multi-hormone sensing.
Winning the Swiss Excellence Product Award highlights the potential of MoleSense’s approach to move healthcare from isolated measurements towards continuous molecular insights, opening new possibilities for reproductive health and, in the longer term, the monitoring of a broader range of clinically relevant biomarkers.
