We’re pleased to welcome MoleSense to the Biopôle Investment Programme (BIP). After joining our Vanguard Accelerator programme in January 2026, MoleSense are gearing up for the next stages of development as they transform their molecular wearable from breakthrough concept to real-world product. The BIP will help the MoleSense team to prepare for these critical next steps by providing key financial and entrepreneurial support.
A boost at a critical moment
Founded in 2025 by EPFL alumni Gian Luca Barbruni and Ata Golparvar, MoleSense is advancing women’s healthcare through molecular wearable technology. Its core innovation is a patch-like medical device that continuously and non-invasively monitors biochemical markers, such as proteins and hormones in the sweat of pregnant women. By providing real-time insights into molecular data, MoleSense enables proactive, preventive care for high-risk pregnancies.
Attracting investors for further fundraising will be key for MoleSense as it moves beyond a proof-of-concept and ventures towards clinical trials. ‘Now is the ideal moment to increase our visibility, attract strategic interest, and secure the funding needed for our next major development milestone,’ explains Gian Luca Barbruni, CEO at MoleSense. ‘We see the BIP as an important step in becoming investment-ready and positioning MoleSense for its next fundraising round.’
