Since 2021, the Swiss Biotech Day has grown steadily and is now recognised as a global meeting point for life sciences professionals. The event promotes international collaboration and facilitates partnerships across the biotechnology sector. In 2025, it brought together more than 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including 25 international delegations, marking its most international edition to date.

Swiss Biotech Day offers opportunities to exchange knowledge and explore developments in R&D, manufacturing, data management, artificial intelligence and financing models. The Global Village, integrated into the programme, provides international delegations with a space to connect with the Swiss biotech ecosystem and engage in cross-border initiatives, public-private partnerships and collaborative research.

Swiss Biotech Day 2026

The 2026 edition will take place in Basel and includes:

• Welcome reception on 3 May
• Participation of more than 3,000 senior experts from the life sciences industry
• Over 130 exhibitors and a Global Village hosting 25 international delegations
• Attendance from emerging and established biotech companies
• More than 50 company pitching sessions, panel discussions and round tables
• Presentation of the Swiss Biotech Success Stories Awards
• Release of the Swiss Biotech Report 2026
• Pre-scheduled one-to-one partnering meetings
• General Assembly of the Swiss Biotech Association
