LEGAL ESSENTIALS: Equity plans and taxation

Biopôle is delighted to partner with Lenz & Staehelin for LEGAL ESSENTIALS, an exclusive series of three interactive seminars focusing on intellectual property (IP) protection, equity incentive plans, taxation and stakeholder relations management

At the second session, on Thursday 4 May, Floran Ponce and Federico Trabaldo Togna will help us understand how to design an efficient equity incentive structure that maximizes your growth potential.  From stock options plans to taxation of founders' shares, discuss with seasoned lawyers the corporate and tax implications of equity compensation to optimize the attractivity of your compensation package.

This series of seminars is aimed at top executives from companies working in the field of life sciences, from medtech to drug development. Attendees will benefit from interactive discussion with the speakers, who will present various case studies from the real-life experiences gathered during their work as consultants.

The second seminar will cover the following topics:

  • What are the various types of equity incentives and which ones are typical?

  • How are options or shares granted to employees taxed?

  • How to anticipate future financing rounds and a possible exit when implementing your equity plan?

  • What changes when you hire internationally?

  • How are founders' shares taxed?
