Beatrice Volpe, Biomedical Marketing Manager at Vivactis Switzerland

Beatrice holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (University of Padua, Italy) and a PhD in Molecular Life Sciences (EPFL, Switzerland). She is Project Management Professional (PMP) certified. Passionate about biomedical innovation, she led several initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurship, including startup accelerators and conferences. Since she joined Vivactis Switzerland in 2018 she leveraged her scientific background to support life science and healthcare players to achieve their marketing and communication targets.


Thierry Weber, Founder & CEO at Vivactis Switzerland

Thierry holds a degree and a doctorate in medicine. For several years, he worked as a physician in various hospitals (Switzerland and South Africa) and a private practice. He then had the opportunity to join the pharmaceutical industry (marketing and clinical studies), before moving on to the medtech sector. With the main intention to build bridges between physicians and the industry, while always keeping the interest of the patient in mind, Thierry co-founded Vivactis Switzerland with Vivactis Group. He presently lives in Switzerland, in the “Health Valley” area and acts as marketing advisor for small life sciences companies and is professor at Lausanne University Business School (MBA healthcare marketing). He is passionate about digital healthcare and communication to patients.

Emanuela Jurietti is Director of Marketing & Communications at Biopôle SA, based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since she took up the role in 2018, Emanuela has led Biopôle’s team efforts in internal and external communications; she is also a member of the management team. Before joining Biopôle SA, Emanuela delivered digital communication and media relations services as a PR consultant at Cabinet Privé de Conseils in Geneva. Emanuela has previously held communications positions at VirtaMed, a Zurich-based company specialising in virtual medical simulation, and Ticino Turismo, the organisation that develops and implements the tourism strategy for Switzerland’s Italian-speaking canton. With an impressive background in media relations and corporate communications, Emanuela helps Biopôle companies to increase their visibility.
