Biopôle is located 5 km from the Lausanne train station, approximately 15 minutes by bicycle. While the ride from the train station to Biopôle can be challenging on a regular city bike due to the 300m elevation, the great view from our park is worth the effort.
In association with PRO VELO Région Lausanne, we have developed some pleasant and traffic free routes on an interactive map. Also, the cities of Lausanne and Epalinges offer many cycling routes for getting around safely. Once at Biopôle you will find plenty of bicycle parking areas.
If you come to Lausanne with your own bike, you can also leave it at the Lausanne train station: a dedicated supervised area is available under the station. From there, the metro M2, direction of «Croisettes», takes you directly to Biopôle (last stop).
You do not need a car to reach Biopôle: the metro stop «Croisettes» on the M2 line is located at the heart of our park. From the train station of Lausanne take the M2, direction of «Croisettes», until the last stop (approx. 15 minutes). The driverless metro is a preview of the impressive innovation culture you can find in the region of Lausanne.
Additionally, the bus lines 45, 46, 62 and 64 will take you to Biopôle. Check the public transportation brochure for more information. Do not forget to buy your ticket at the ticket office or with your mobile phone by sending a SMS to 456.
We encourage all visitors to consider the use of public transport to reach Biopôle given the limited parking areas. For a day visit, you can park your car at the multi-storey car park «P+R Vennes», located under the Aquatis Hotel, below Biopôle, which is two minutes walking distance from our park.
Driving on the motorway, follow A9/E62 to Lausanne, and take exit 10 to Lausanne-Vennes. At the exit, drive north towards the «Route de Berne». The multi-storey car park «P+R Vennes» will be on your right.
Geneva International Airport is only 65 km from Lausanne. It is approximately a one-hour journey from the airport to Biopôle.
At the airport, once you have exited customs, follow the signs indicating the train station (CFF-SBB). It is located on the second underground floor of the airport, in Terminal B. You can find the schedule for Swiss railways on www.cff.ch.
