The Board of Biopôle consists of six members. The majority share-holder has selected the Board members according to their professional activities. The synergy of their combined knowledge and experience will enable Biopôle SA to succeed in achieving its set objective.

Jean-Marc Tissot – Board Chairman (representing the Canton of Vaud)
Jean-Marc Tissot obtained his degree as an ESCEA/HES Business Economist in 2002. He furthered his education with a joint HES Integrated Management / Executive MBA degree from the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland / Business School of Bern/Fribourg. From 1991 to 1996, he was employed as Financial Controller and then as Financial Manager responsible for the offices of Cap Gemini in Switzerland and Austria. He joined ISREC in 1996 as Financial and Personnel Manager. In 2000 he was appointed to the position of Administrative Director.
Jean-Paul Dépraz - Board Vice-chairman (representing the Canton of Vaud)
Graduating in Political Science from the UNIL in 1969, Jean-Paul Dépraz completed his studies in an SME, then worked at the EPFL from 1971 to 1988, initially in the project management team for the construction of the new School in Ecublens, and then as Director of the Welfare and Student Orientation & Counselling Services. He was the Secretary-General of the Vaud Medicine Society before joining the UNIL in Dorigny in 1991 as Administrative Director.
Stéphane Muller (representing the Canton of Vaud)
An architectural engineer and a real estate manager, Stéphane Muller was estates manager for the town of Pully until 1989. He then joined Crédit Suisse in Lausanne where he managed the real estate and general services until 1993. In 1994 the was Director of the real estate, infrastructures, and stewardship departments of the BCV bank. He then took over the management ofSogirom SA, a company in real estate and brokerage business, until the end of January 2007. He is now administrator of several companies andalsohas a seatat the Canton of Vaud Property Management Chamber.
Giuseppe Pantaleo (representing the Canton of Vaud)
Professor Giuseppe Pantaleo was born in Bari, Italy, where he gained his degree in medicine in 1980. His interest in immunology led him to work at the Ludwig Institute in Lausanne from 1983 to 1987. In 1988, he was invited to work for the NIH (National Institutes of Health) in Bethesda until 1996, when he returned to Lausanne and became Head of the AIDS Immunopathology Laboratory at the CHUV. In 1999, Professor Pantaleo became doctor-in-chief of the Immunology and Allergy Department. Professor Giuseppe Pantaleo is the author and co-author of nearly 200 publications in scientific reviews.
Daniel Brélaz (representing the City of Lausanne)
M. Daniel Brélaz est né le 4 janvier 1950. Après des études scientifiques, il obtient en janvier 1975 le diplôme de mathématicien de l'EPFL avec mention recherche et application. Cinq ans plus tard, il obtient également la licence en mathématique de l'Université de Lausanne. Assistant à l'EPFL de 1975 à 1980, Daniel Brélaz enseignera les mathématiques, la physique et l'informatique aux classes de raccordement pré-gymnasiales du collège secondaire de l'Elysée à Lausanne de 1980 à fin 1985. Daniel Brélaz a été élu une première fois à la syndicature de Lausanne le 25 novembre 2001 et a repris le 1er janvier 2002 l'Administration générale et les Finances. Re-élu syndic de la Ville de Lausanne en 2006 et tout récemment en 2011, il assumera cette fonction pour la prochaine législature 2011-2016. Brillamment élu Conseiller national le 21 octobre 2007, il entre à nouveau au Parlement fédéral où il avait déjà siégé en 1979 à l'âge de 29 ans. En tant que syndic, Daniel Brélaz est fortement concerné par les problèmes de transports. Il est d'ailleurs membre de la Commission des Transports et Télécommunications (CTT) du Conseil National.
Lionel Eperon (representing the Canton of Vaud)
Lionel Eperon est titulaire d'une Licence en sciences politiques de l'Université de Lausanne (1994) et d'un Master en administration publique de l'IDHEAP (prix du meilleur Master en 1998). C'est à la faveur d'un stage au Département fédéral des affaires étrangères en 1991 qu'il développe son intérêt pour la chose publique, qui depuis lors n'a cessé de guider son parcours professionnel. Rédacteur à "l'Année politique suisse" de 1994 à 1998, il y parfait ses connaissances des institutions et politiques publiques suisses. Après un bref passage comme collaborateur scientifique à l'IDHEAP en matière de politiques communales entre 1998 et 1999, M. Eperon rejoint l'Etat de Vaud dès 1999. Secrétaire aux affaires fédérales et intercantonales entre 1999 et 2001, puis Lobbyiste du Canton de Vaud auprès des autorités fédérales entre 2004 et 2007, il met à profit ses connaissances des rouages institutionnels et politiques pour coordonner et défendre les intérêts vaudois auprès de la Confédération et des autres cantons. Nommé le 1er juillet 2007 à la tête du Service de l'économie, du logement et du tourisme (SELT) du Canton de Vaud, M. Eperon poursuit avec enthousiasme sa fonction d'interface entre les secteurs privé et public.
